First of all i would like to thank both of you (Roy & Sharon) for your valuable input about the subject matter. Now let me provide you a bit more deatils about the what happened.
The problem started with a conflict between online status different than what CIC call centre was telling me. I have discussed this with you as well...So i decided to get a conslutation from this lawyer to confirm if where my dad´s file is. Lawyer when looked at the status immediatly responded that online entry is right probably there are chances that my dad´s file is back to vegreville. She pulled out her cell phone and called someone from CIC and asked the status of my dad´s file. Imagine at that time, she was not the authorized representative. And that CIC officer provided her all the information about my dad´s file and i was shocked that how is it possible that without client´s consent CIC is discussing the status with a lawyer. So to be honest with you i was convinced that she has some influence in CIC. At that time Lawyer hid the fact to me that my dad´s file is with Scarborough not vegreville. So she said that if should deposit 1000 dollar in their trust account to start up the case. And she promised that whatever the status of file is, she will help speed it up. And then i mentioned that what if you tell me a fee later on that i could not afford, what would happen with my 1000 dollars. She said my secretary will discuss this with you. Her secretary said that money will saty in trust account until we reach into an agreement and if we do not reach into an agreement you will get a refund minus consultation fee and any other charges in terms of postage, fax, photocopying, etc. I said, okay fair enough.
After 2, 3 days, lawyer approached me and informed that file is still in scarborough and 100 chances are that you will receive a negitive decision so just file a proper sponsorship. I said i can not do it because i do not meet the LICO, she said why dont to report extra income and pay some taxes and meet the LICO. I said i can not do this because this is not legal and it involves a lot of meony as well. She said she will charge me 5000 dollars to take care of the case. I said i do not agree so just call it day and issue me a refund. She said i shall defintely get a refund because thats ll they did on my file that they confirmed that file is in Scarborough not in vegreville. Her secretary sent me an e-mail stating that refund they will be putting back on my credit card. Ok great, satisfied.
However, one day i received a statement of account with all kind of services that i never received and asking me 150 more dollars instead of a refund. I mean, that really pissed me off. You are promising a refund and now asking me more money. Imagine charging more than 1200 dollars just to find out where the file is.
So this is the case and i sent them an e-mail requested them a refund. Now if they do not give me a refund, i shall contact assessment centre and BBB and ombudsman and i shall also write an article for metro news and toronto star with scanned copies of statement of account just to educate people that they should do their home work before approach top lawyers because surprise they give you is lot bigger than their name. let see what happens.
I have already cancelled their authorization to access to my dad´s file however, they have all the information handy with them. My nae, my phone nos. my date of birth along with my dad´s information so they can access my file any time without any extra effort. Secondly that CIC guy tells them the status without the authorization of client so what we can do. There is problem with the system some where, Roy and Sharon. Trust me on this because i have experienced it personnally I wish and pray that i am wrong however, i am very disappointed as well...

I am sure that he is much more poisoned than u, because he is your Dad.

Come on james, what do you mean that i am in Canada. Do you think Canada is in heaven where nothing can go wrong. I lived all my life in USA and Canada and how it works here. Canada must be something unique for you, not for me. Bad people are every where. I am not full of poison, i simply can not take exploitation in any form because i am not a coward and i fight for my rights. By reading your post i t looks to me that you are are dumber and dumbo because you do not even know my dad and you are calling him poisoned. Show some respect for senior people. You may tell me whatever you like but please do not use bad words for my dad. God Bless you, you dumb the dumber.....LOL
