the only time landing destination gets to be tricky is when you are coming as a provincial nominee. Other than that... land anywhere you like!

Land anywhere you like except Quebec.

actually, I think you can land in Quebec but if you have Quebec selection they don´t like you landing anywhere else but Quebec. The whole thing is rather strange as not all airlines land in Montreal!

In that case Sharon , I think you have to show proof of onward travel to Montreal.
As far as I am aware it is tricky (but probably not impossible ) to land in Quebec if you don´t have CSQ.
When we came over to land there had been a lot of thunderstorms in the Toronto are and a lot of flights were being diverted to Montreal. We sat there praying the entire flight "please don´t divert to Montreal!!"

if you have generalize PR then nobody can insist you live in a specific province. Where it gets tricky is when you have used a province and its hospitality to get yourself a PNP and bypassed the general wait list. Quebec used to be the prime destination for that very reason. Staying where you agreed to go in this situation is far more serious and Immigration officers want to be sure you are following through on your agreement.
