In the process of sponsoring a wife can the sponsor stop the process? And at what stage?
1- Before having the PR visa.
2- Before landing.
3- Before having the PR card. (by the way how long does it take to have the PR card after landing)
4- After having the PR card. (in the case of divorce)
Please I need your help.

unless CIC revokes a PR because of fraud - the only opportunity the sponsor has to call the whole thing off is before landing and even that might be too late. Withdrawl should be done before PR is issued.

Someone who is sponsoring a wife wants to know when they can stop the process. Does this sound like someone who is passionately in Love?????
1. Before having a PR Visa.

YES call 1-888-242-2100 and tell them but they will want your sponsorship withdrawal in writing.
2. Before Landing?
Anwser
Yes any time before Landing!
3. Before having a PR card?
Answer
NO, once the applicant is Landed nothing can be done to hurt the applicant.
4. After having the PR card. (in the case of divorce)
Answer
No and No in case of annulment!

I have too many real marriages waiting to be approved to have a sponsor like you out there.
You claimed your sponsoring a wife so I assume your legally married!
You claimed your sponsoring so you have submitted your spousal sponsorship application!
You got married so you highly likely consummated your marriage!
You of all people would never commit fraud!

I think the Sponsorship agreement should be terminated in certain conditions. We had a very sad experience for sponsor my in-law to immigrant Canada. After the in-law landed, she lives with my family. But she often ask my wife to send money to her oversea relatives. (Her overseas relatives have jobs, house and do not ask for money. Whatever we pay for my children for any entertainment or tour, even better education, the in-law mother will ask my wife to get a share to his overseas brother´s family. We did pay a lot(not hundred dollars, but thousnad dollars / ten thousand dollars). Sometimes my wife did not pay that much as asked. My in-law turned her angue to my children. I understand Canada is a legal country, but I realy do not know what I can protect my children and my family now! My in-law also said she has consulted from other "good Shanghai friends" and they said nobody can do anything to my in-law, since we signed the stupid spopnsorship agreement five years ago. She said she could call 911 and told 911 we illtreated her. She is my wife´s mother. We have to pay whatever she happens the expense in Canada. I seriously advise those nice, kind and friendly people who are considering sponsor their parents to Canada, think it very very very carefully before you sign the stupid sporsorship agreement. Some people said Judge in the Citizenship Court may have the power to terminate the sponsorship agreement and save those "kidnapped" Canadians. Is that true?

i got divorced before getting pr card and my wife is threatning me that she would terminate my pr status.i have landed in canada and has got landing document proof.

I am not satisfied with my marriage and my husband has gotten visa approval, I would like to know how can I cancel the whole process now or is it too late?
