hi
I have worked at my friend´s place for sometime and was idle in between for about one year.since it is my friend´s office and my friend knows me well, i included even my idle time in my workexperience and my friend too has no problem with it. My only concern is if i am applying for Canada resident immigration visa, will the immigration people ask for proofs from my friend for the time i have worked in there i.e. payslips etc..? i mean what all things will they ask for? How do the immigration people verify this? And if my uncle is sponsoring me, is it ok? Since am not a canadian i need to get a work permit? How do u think should i go ahead with it so that i get it fast(ofcourse without wasting much time ;))? Please mail me in detail all about it. Will be very thankful to you.

They might not ask for the proof.
But they might, do you really want to risk for them to find out. Becuase if they find out that your work experience proof is not sufficient outcome could be negative.
I am really suggesting that you do your best and tell the truth, you will have better chances.
Come on people, why is so hard to tell the truth and live your life peacefully?

It is hard to say - based on country to country. In U.S. for e.g. they definately want to see W2s which are not hard to obtain. In other country like for e.g. India payslips may not always be possible to obtain as small firms don´t keep a lot of old records. They may however may ask you to submit your income tax return etc. In all event it is best to tell what you have actually done - if you lack a few months; it is best to wait out that many months work and then apply.
