New Brunswick bound!

Subject: New Brunswick bound!
After a whirlwind week, it seems we are officially New Brunswick bound. My husband had a second interview for a job he is very excited about and was offered the job the following day; now we just have to give a timeline by the end of the weekend. I suppose we´ll try to be up there in about a month.

My head is positively spinning and I barely know which way to turn. We are totally excited but also very overwhelmed.

I´m sure I´ll have a hundred questions in the coming weeks on how, exactly, to go about making this exciting but daunting move.

Thanks to so many here who have been so encouraging and positive over the past few years I´ve been lurking here. We sincerely appreciate everyone´s kindness.

You might actually do well in NB. This is a simple province with quite low standards of living so you can easily manage without a whole lota dough. If you do get a lota money, then you can save at faster pace than in other provinces. Winters can be hard but life in general is good. Just be liberal and try to fit-in. You won´t find great numbers of islamics or hindu fundamentalists around here and it is necessary to have the courage to mingle with all people. Not just with your own ethnic folks.

OK Roy, thanks--I haven´t laughed that hard in a long time!!! A beard!!?? Ha ha ha ha ha ha! That will keep me giggling for a long time.

King of NB: like what kind of "ethnic" folks? Other Americans? As for the "liberal" comment, yeah, I´ve got that down. :)

Lily: thanks. I do plan to stay around here even after we move. NB strikes us as totally beautiful and totally different than what we are used to; it will definitely be a move out of our comfort zone. Sometimes we really need that in life, and all immigrants face it in one way or another.
