Subject: How much points do i get for my work expereince?
  Hi,
I have completed 1.7 years of work. Will it make more sense if I complete 2 years and then apply for immigration under skilled employees as I will be able to obtain more points if i have 2 years of expereince.
Or will my work expereince will be counted on the date I submit my actual documents as a proof for the work exp? Since, this will take a minimum of a year, by that time i will be having 2.7 years of exp.
Please advice.

You better wait for two years and submit yor application, because work experiance counts.I hope you would have looked in to www.cic.gc.ca. For further info about Canada pl look at www.immigratedoctorcanada.com.

good luck

Hi there... well if you applied as a SW... you get 15 points for 1 year of work experience... if you have 2 years of work experience you get 17 points...

The answer to your question depends of how many points you have on your application before adding the work experience points... if you need 17 points to complete the required 67 points total... then you must wait to reach the 2 years of work experience before you apply...

But if having only 15 points for the 1 year work experience is enough to get you to 67 points or more... then you can send your application...

We are talking a 2 points difference between 1 or 2 years of work experience... so, see if you need those extra 2 points or not... and go from there...

CIC will count only the work experience you have at the time you apply...

Good Luck
