Subject: Application Status when wife is pregnant
I am working on my application and ready to send it in few weeks. Recently, I found out that my wife is pregnant. How do we go about the status, fees, etc? Should it be noted anywhere on the application?

Thanks.

Hold off on any change in status until after the baby is born when you can supply a birth certificate etc.

FIRST MISTAKE as!

I´m working on (MY) application!!!!!!!!!!!

One can assume your the sponsor but then one can assume your the applicant. So whom is the applicant?

Understand that (WE) are working on (OUR) application and getting ready to submit it! Never call your wife by (she), (her) etc. and make sure your partner _________ does the same when it comes to you!

Either way I sure hope your doing an outside of Canada spousal application.

I see no reason to delay anything.

If your wife is the applicant she can not complete the whole medical but that is not a reason to delay the process. If your the applicant full steam ahead you would want to be there to cut the cord!

Only failed refugee claimants or illegal pregnant women should do an inside Canada application. If your wife is illegal be ready to fork out at least $3,000.00 + for Hospital and Doctor fees.

Since you desire to do the application yourself be prepared to wait three or four years to receive a PR card if your in the GTA and your file gets kicked for an interview because you have not proven your relationship sufficiently!

Wish you lots of luck.

Roy, you are making a whole lot of assumptions here. It could as easily be a SW application. Either way, am I not correct to suggest you don´t list a child until it´s born?

Obviously, you do not stall the application until the birth but you wait to ammend the details.

Right???

Sharon like usual your correct.

It could be an H&C, WP application etc. For some reason I see this as a spousal application.

In Canada according to CIC a baby is not a person until it is born even though any future parent would argue that point and any childless person would support the opposite point.

I prefer to hear from (as)

What type of application is it?

I am the sponsor for federal skill workers. Currently, I will include me, wife, and daugther. I think it is make sense that I probably need to note that my wife is expecting for the 2nd one.

Secondly, could you guys tell me the best practice in submitting documentation for initial application:

1.Should I send the original or copy for FBI results, employer letter etc?

2. IELTS results - would they accept sealed copy or has to be sent directly?

3. What kind of documents need to be notorized?

Thanks.

to be honest, don´t apply at the moment unless you can get yourself arranged employment or a PNP approval.Even try for a work permit.

they are changing the rules and everything is going to hinge on your NOC codes. All recent applications are on hold until they sort this out.

GR8 advice twice in one thread Sharon.

I must becoming a Obama supporter.

For real people (do not submit anything) such as a FSW at this time. The Minister and her entourage has started cross country meetings already in Newfoundland and the maritime provinces with groups who want her to hear their point of view on the changes.

Hold off and do not submit anything just yet there probably will be a faster optioon for you and your family. Congratulations Dad!
