Subject: Please help
My immigration application as a skilled worker did not go through because the immigration office does not satisfy with my work experience.

I have worked as a systems programmer from January 2006 till now. The below is detail in my employment letter:

Jan. 2006 - Dec. 2006 --- CO-OP --- 35 h/week ( 1year)
Jan. 2007 - Dec. 2007 --- Part-Time --- 24 h/week (1 year)

She said the coop is not countable as a work experience, so the count starts from January 2007. So it is not fit with the requirment (1 year of full time 37.5 h/week or equivalent part-time).

The application started to process on January 2008, and received this rejection letter on yesterday. I´ve working as a full time(40 h/w) since March 12th 2008. If I calculate the total work hours from January 2007 to June 2008, I have enough hours worked. In other words, there will be no problem if I sent application now.

My question is:
1. Is it possible to update the employment letter including (Jan. 2008 to June 2008). According to her letter the decision is already made, because she said that no further documents will be required from me.
2. If updating the work period is not possible, should I re-process all the paper work again? and payment?
3. I´m also searching for an Immigration lawyer to get help. Are they really helpful in my case?

I´m currently working in the same company in Toronto since 2006. And my visa will be expire on July 25th 2008. Not much time left. Please write me any comments. Thank you.
