hi... pls help!
I´m getting married to a Canadian resident this month, BUT my student permit expired in Dec,07 & I could not extend due to different reasons. My question is, can I still apply for extention of my stay in Canada while appling for PR with my spouse? or if, what other steps could I take..to maintain my stay?

Yeah CIC will believe that story and the story about your marriage when you finally get married. NOT!
You have 90 days to apply for re - in statement of status and your far over that.
Now depending on your country you should apply through that Visa Post. Then your spouse/partner can appeal if your refused.
At least you did not make a refugee claim.
