Subject: Application for dependent
Hi,

I am ready to apply for Canada immigration for me,my spouse and my son. I have new born baby girl. She is US Citizen. I am not planning to apply for her. Is it mandatory to keep her name in application even though I am not planning to apply?

Thanks,
sam70

yes, she must be included as non-accompanying so that you have the option to sponsor her later.

Now, please enlighten me. Why would you omit your daughter????

Sharon Thanks for reply.

I am not applying for her.Because I have not applied for her passport yet. It would take me atleast two month to get her US passport.I think passport number is mandatory for application. Can I apply for her without passport number?

what you are planning is a recipe for a nightmare. Absolutely include her with a note about a passport to follow. You may not even need it. If you could only forsee the problems you are creating yourself by wanting to exclude her for the sake of 2 months... really Sam... a foolish idea.

BUT - I would strongly encourage you to wait with your application. All files that were submitted since the end of February are on hold, pending clarification on new rules. Those rules will be tied to NOC codes. We should know in the next several months what the new situation will be.

In the mean time, do your best to get the documents you need for your daughter.

Hi Sharon,

I am so much concern about this because of changing rule on Immigration for Canada. I dont want to wait few more month ..I was a victim of Consultation firm in Canada.I have applied for my Canada Immigration in 1999 under old regulation. I have 7 years of Technician Mechanical Work experience. For some sad reason I was visiting my country(India) in September 2002.I came back to USA in Feb 2003.I have checked status of my application with Buffalo office. After few days I have received letter saying my application has been denied saying 0 year work experience. I am sure Immigration have raise some question or query regarding my case. But No question or query reach upto me from Consultation firm. Later on i came to know it is better to re apply. Under new regulation I am eligible to get 67 point on end of July 2008. I dont want to take chance even for single day. I am planning to apply on August 2nd.

All of my collegue and friend migrated to Canada. Some of them even dont have proper experience. I feel my self so unjustice when I see all this.

I am not lucky with Canada immigration process...

Thanks,

sam70

Sam70 I am very sorry about your immigration misfortunes but you are not understanding. You can apply all you like but your application is going to sit in a pile collecting dust until they sort out the new rules. You are gaining nothing if you submit the wrong NOC code on August 2.

The wrong skills could have you waiting forever and I think you have already waited long enough. We are not going to have all the criteria for at least a few more months.

Take the time you have and do some hunting for a job offer. Bypass the general skilled worker application entirely and get yourself a Provincial Nominee opportunity.

Also, see if you qualify for a work permit. That also means finding yourself a job. DO NOT PAY for someone to find you a job- they are usually dishonest and only want to take your money.

Thanks for your reply Sharon. I am good in USA for next three years.I don´t have that much energy left with two kids to find job in Canada and make this work fast. I would apply under regular skilled worker application. Looking at my NOC code and experience I am sure there would be some space or requirement for myself in Canada.I work in IT field specialized in Integration,Supply Chain and EDI. Which is very much in demand every where. With my Education and new IELTS score my point are 72 now.
