Subject: Canada PR and US H1B - do they clash? |
|

I´m currently working in the US and the company is applying for an H1B visa in the coming year. But I want to move to Canada in the future and I want to apply for a PR soon (in a few days).
My question is that is this a reason for conflict? Will US reject my H1B because I´ve applied for a Canadian PR, or will Canada reject my PR if I´ve applied for a US H1B. Note that there will a period of time when both these cases will be pending at the same time.
Thanks for the help. I really appreciate any guidance.

(in reply to: Canada PR and US H1B - do they clash?) NO.
No direct conflict at all. H-1B application doesn´t even have any information req´d related PR status of Canada or other country.
Though if you get the canadian PR then you have to consider tax obligations in both of the countries till you move to Canada leaving US job.
