Hi im an Electronics Engineer by profession, but I haven´t practised my profession at all. Im working in a totally different field for 5 years. I am planning to apply for a selection certificate for Quebec. My question is do I have to pass the "Declaration of a Candidate in a Profession Governed by an order in Quebec Form" even if I haven´t practised my profession??? Its writtewn in the website that one has to pass it if " ....if you or your spouse practises or plans to practise a profession governed by a professional order".

In order to practise Engineering in Canada you must be registred since is a regulated profession.
If you have never practiced Engineering you won´t be able to obtain your P.Eng (Professional Engineer)designation in this country right away. It will take time.
You may need to accumulate some hours of experience and write a test or whatever the current requirements are.
In other words you will not be able to work as an Engineer but you may work with an Engineering firm and work under the supervision of a P.Eng.

That is all what I can tell you, I am not familiar with the province of Quebec.

If you are working in a totally different field, and you do not want to practice your profession in Quebec, you do not need to be registred.
