when you enter into a salaried job position, the number of days in a month is ignored. You have used July as your example, I will now use February. Your cheques will be equal for both months even though the number of days works will vary.

personally, I prefer this method of payment. Most peoples expenses are not factored on a daily rate. You do it monthly. Your phone, electricity, cable all come on the same date each month and you pay the same amount whether it is February or July. Therefore, the easiest way to manage your cash flow is to match how you are paid to how you incure your expenses.

Yes, on a bi-weekly payment scheme you get 2 extra cheques but that means the other 24 cheques are smaller.

Alice job offer (in reply to: Alice and her job offer #2)
Hi Sharon and friends!

I thought to post this because I have made a decision in regards to a salary job annual income $38,000.00 or $16.00/hr and both at 40 hours week. I have decided to take the offer that is going to pay me $16/hr. I think the problem with the salary job is that I am going to work on an average of 96 hours per pay period (please correct me if I am wrong). If I am right it means that the salary job calculated per hour is $16.50/hr. So thats my conclusion...now hope I won´t get FIRED.

how many hours you work does not change between jobs. what changes is how many hours are included in each pay cheque. Your salaried cheques will be larger than your hourly cheques. Same hours worked at the end of the year.
