| Subject: Proof of Citizenship for Child outside of Canada |

I´ve hit a Road Block. I´m a Canadian in the US and my son was born in the US. I´m attempting to apply for his Proof of citizenship.
I gather the "documentation" ...my Canadian birth certif., my child´s birth certif., my child´s passport, my marriage license, my child´s social security card
I´ve made copies but no one around here will "notorize" the State Documents. I don´t want to send originals and not sure if I need all the above documents anyway. The "State County Clerk" wants to charge $20/per document to provide a certified copy. I think this is getting too extreme for what I need these documents for.
What do I do next?
