If I apply for PR, when will they base/count my points, at the time of application or at the time they are reviewing my application (which is years after submission of forms)???

I need point of clarification on this please. I have seen some posts that suggest that an applicant would need to meet the required points both at the time of application as well as at the time of review.

That is, if an applicant meets the requirements when applied may still be rejected if he/she does not meet when reviewed if the required points were increased between the two dates.

Is that correct or would the applicant would be ok if he/she met the points at the time of application (but the points were raised later)?

Thanks,

Ray

if you claim you have a job offer at time of application you get points - if the job evaporates by the time you have your interview - those points are gone.

Ah, ok. Thanks. Thats ok I think. As long as any increase in the points dont effect the applciation.

it is assumed that an application could gain points during the waiting period through additional education and work experience.

they use the 67 at application date to prevent people from submitting with 60 points in hopes of making up another 7 by the time their file gets looked at. No deal on that one.
