I have some query to put for all of u.I hope i will get favourable reply.
Passport office has issued my passport in 2001.At that time the passport was mainly handwritten.
They have put my surname properly.But in Given name section they have written my father name first and then my name.
If i get visa and in If they write my given name as my first name and then my father name will it create any problem during immigration at airport.As I am already sumitted my passport for visa stamping. first I thought it was minor mistake but now i am really worried and dont come to the conclusion wht to do at this stage
I have correctly written my name in the pr application not like passport
I hope some one reply to this along with some comments from seniors.
Can i change it after landing with indian embassy in toronto

If you noticed it before why did not you change it? As I undertand, they won´t issue u the visa if the chart ( with PPR request) won´t match the passport. Other thing..how did you fill up that chart?? It´s written there ..Given name (as written in your passport)

I have made a big mistake
I have write my name correctly in the PR application.
First my name on the e status was as per application but before two days it change as per my passport
Can i do landing and do amendment in my passport from indian embassy in canada.
Can i make my sin card health card as per my correct name

If i receive my visa and then change my passport then my visa name dont match with my new passport
I dont come to the conclusion wht to do at this stage

Jeeshan, You can´t do anything now cause the passport is in CHC. Wait and see if they grant you the visa. The chart you filled up was for COPR.
You can´t land with your NEW PASSPORT cause PR visa and COPR won´t match.
When have you done your MED?

I think if CHC return your passport then you have time to land 10 july 2009. And that means you will have time to change your passport. Good luck.

COPR and Passport have to be same..your name and date of birth.Suppose if they issue you a visa then you won´t have any problem to land and later you can change that. Your PR card will cary the same name as it written in the COPR. I read from other forum that it´s even possible to change PR card´s name.You will get more comments on this topic from other guys..wait for them cause they are still sleeping ( US AND CANADA).

But tariq if they issue me visa and copr as per my passport name that is given name as fathername then my name.
Then all my cards will be in the wrong name then what i can do

If they could notice the difference in passport name and name on your applications they will probably not issue you the visa. they will ask you to explain. they may return your passport as well The you can go to passport office and request a correction. passport office will correct your name with endorsement on any page of the passport. they will write on the first page where your name is(See page No. 1 or wahtever) and on that page your correct name will be mentioned. Your passport is used for entry purposes only. Your PR will be issue on the application that you will handover to immigration upon landing and then your landing paper will be used for other things like sin card etc. Do not worry, this is not a very serious problem. You can solve it easily. So take it easy!
