Subject: Blue...
I am sorry I know this forum is not for whining but I just read old posts about background checks and how some people have waited months and months to get PPR (if they get them at all) and I just felt so blue! Some people even waited years after medicals to get an answer...

I think it is better for me not to even read any more of the info posted in any forum... there is nothing more for me to do or to add to my application... I just have to wait (God only knows for how long).

I don´t want to feel jealous but I must confess that I do when I read someone else´s happy news... it´s foolish to do that but I do. Instead of wishing and hoping for something that I might not even get...I better focus on what I have righ now.. on my kids, my hubby, my job... myself.

I wish good luck and great success to all of you who are on your way to Canada or are waiting for an answer ... as for me, I will come back only if I get my PPR...

Take care everyone!

The average waiting time for PR at Buffalo center, NY USA is 2-3 mos...can be shorter or longer.

Centers overseas have much longer waiting time.

At what center you are applying? For how long have you been waiting?

See this link..select the center and see the average waiting time after medicals.

Do not make other people feel blue!!

The worst scenario I ever heard on this forum regarding Buffalo center is waiting six months after medicals. The one who posted his experience indicated that the response he received from Buffalo was that they requested additional info from government offices. I never hear any one exceeding 6 mos. It takes on the average 2 mos. Other centers take longer.

Lily,

Don´t ever let yourself get so busy that you miss those little but important extras in life...the beauty of a day...the smile of a friend...the serenity of a quiet moment alone....For it is often life´s smallest pleasures and gentlest joys that make the biggest and most lasting difference.

May God bless you on this day, bring you something more than your heart longs for, an answer to your most urgent prayer and a heart that holds much happiness inside.

God bless you. Lily, your time will come. Trust hte Lord with all your heart. Take Care.

Be patient! I have been there .... We waited nearly 8 months between medicals and PPR from Buffalo (that included thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year holidays) ... it was painful but if you focused on other stuff and try not to think about it .... it will go faster!!

Be positive and good things will happen!!
Take care
