Will "marital issues" affect sponsoring a spouse? I am eligible for PR, so is my spouse i supposed. But our relationship has been up and down. There are months we didnt communicate, there are months we didnt email But we sure are married for 3 years. Because of miles apart work, and financial instability issue back home, we dont have kids yet. And we havent lived together not longer than 6 months

now, i am confused if i need to include him or not. make it undeclared or not. or tell immigration our ups and downs might cause divorce here later...

please advise me folks.

you are confusing 2 issues. If you are applying under the skilled worker criteria, you have a choice to include your spouse or not. Some people don´t for various reasons - mostly economic.

Sponsoring is about being in Canada and wanting your significant other to join you.

So... the question is, if you are the primary skilled worker applicant and you can qualify without your spouse, do you want to give them a free ticket to Canada. Your current marital dynamics could cause CIC to question whether your spouse is legitimate or a immigration hanger on... butnot likely.

Question will be, do you want to remain married long enough to complete your immigration process. If not, don´t include them and let them come on their own merits.

under liveincaregiver program....i am about to submit my application in two months for PR, Open permit, and so is sponsorship..because we are legally married.

from what i know is. he has to undergo medical, do some paper works...as he is my husband.

just that our boat now is rocking...not saying sinking. i dont mind giving him free ticket. i dont have personal grief over a non vital relationship. if its not going to work, should i cry? if its going to work, then hooray!

i appreciate it Ms Sharon.
