| Subject: Application resubmitted-still nothing ! |

My application has been returned (incomplete form) at the beginning of december, and after my wife and I filled out the form and resubmitted the application on Dec. 17, we still haven´t heard from Missisauga. This is for spousal sponsorship, and that was right after we have submitted the application for initial sponsorship assesment. Do you think that is is normal given the hollidays and everything that we still haven´t heard from them? I thought that after we resubmit the app. the designated officer will not put it at the ´bottom of the pile´ again.

Due to holiday season, I think that you should hear something from them by the end of January. After holidays it takes us all about a week to get together and start working.
Wait until the end of the month and if nothing comes give them a call.

According to the CIC website, Mississauga is currently processing applications received up to December 16th, and the current processing time is 26 days for sponsorship applications.
If you sent it on Dec. 17th, assuming it was sent from Ontario it would´ve gotten there either Dec. 20th or 21st. So they should be starting to process your application fairly shortly. You defenitely should be hearing from them before the end of January as to whether or not sponsorship was approved.
When my husband and I sent in our applications to Mississauga (he´s Canadian, I´m American..so he´s my sponsor), it took just over a month to hear anything from Mississauga.
