My name is Sam. I´m an Indian.Presently I´m working as Electrical Engineer in Saudi Arabia. I would like to immigrate to Canada to work and settle there. My doubt is that if i immigrate to Canada, i cant come back to India. ( what i mean is, in Saudi Arabia i usually visit my home in India during my annual leave ie: for 45 days ) In that way when i immigrate to Canada is it possible for me to visit my home for a particular time. I´m asking u this because my whole family and relatives are in India.
Please kindly clear my doubts. After clear this doubt, then only i will apply for the immigration.
I have go through several sites and i finally found an active forum here ...thats why i ask my doubt here.......So please kindly give me the reply fast...don´t disappoint me.
I would like to thanks all of you in advance.

(in reply to: Please help me to clear my doubts) Yes you can visit your family back in India. Normally company can give you 2-4 weeks off/Year.

(in reply to: Please help me to clear my doubts) In North America or Europe you´l never find 45 days paid vacation in an year.
In North America, standard practice is 14 days /Year, some companies offer 21 days..some have 28 days after serving 5 years. Also 1 week may be for sick leave.
However, you can go vacation without paid. Also, you can accumulate your vacation over some years and visit home after 3 years, most folks from there follow this.

(in reply to: Please help me to clear my doubts) I agree. 45 days off is hard to find in North America. It seems your family is very important to you so taking unpaid holidays could be an option. Good luck
