Have you "puppies" seen the latest poll?

Its clearly Obama or McCain since there is no third candidate. So would Canada benefit with another four years of Republicans in the White House?

Would the world benefit with another four years of Republicans in the White House?

I am the first to admit I do not and can not understand the way Americans think.

How can two candidates be questioned on the same subjects while one is listening to the broadcast of his opponents answers. WHOOPS McCain was not listening nor was he told what the questions would be. NBC is being persecuted by the McCain camp.

I see no Democrat able to bring out different supporters then Hillary that Barack does not already have.

I see Barack on Vacation just like G. W. when the Russians invade Georgia and do not think that Ukraine will not be next. Then.....

Who agrees with me, come on Richard get on board before McCain moves into the White House!!!!!!

seeings as Obama is not president yet, why can´t he take a weeks vacation? What would you like him to do? Bush was watching the Olympics while the Russians were invading Georgia.

There was an interesting editorial on CNN about holidays and absence from the White House. McCain did it too.

Talked to some American relatives this past week that suggest Obama may have to change his colour to get elected.

I´m an American, Roy, and I don´t understand how Americans think. But I do know in talking to people down here and from the papers that they´re fed up with Republicans, Bush, and the Bush-cloned McCain, despite opinion polls.

Canada would benefit from Obama because, quite frankly, the world would. The U.S. would once again use its power and status to help, mediate, and negotiate, rather than bully, intimidate, and invade. The worldwide economic slump we now have has been aggravated by Iraq and lack of American credibility.

So really, we´d all benefit from Obama compared to McCain, no question.

And as Sharon said, let´s let him have a little R and R. The primary campaign was grueling. No normal person could go though that.

By the way, what ever happened with the election that seems so long overdue up there? Is Harper in that strong of a position, or Dion so weak a leader lacking popular credibility in not calling for a no confidence vote?

there is rumblings of Harper triggering an election rather than waiting for Dion to get the courage. Harper suggests that government is currently so disfunctional that there is no point in continuing.

we may get our Canadian election started and completed before the US elects its president!

That would be amazing, yet makes sense at the same time. The U.S. election cycle is sickeningly long and overbearing.

My sense is that Harper would call for an election because he feels confident in the results. Points to continued Liberal party weakness I think.

Sorry John if we anger you by sharing our political and immigration views. Some of us can spend time with family and friends, yet also enjoying conversation on topics we share. If multi-tasking is too difficult for you, then better go play with the kids.

Richard U made me laugh this morning.

Not sorry John if my web address upsets you.

Who gets elected in the States clearly would affect the Canadian economy and I for one am trying to look out for my interest. It affects how able my clients will be able to pay for services and how well I will be able to afford my families toys, food etc..

Some think that Obama has already won the election but from the poll results MOST Americans do not agree!

Barack´s running mate is very important in key swing States.

When Barack behaves like G.W. Sharon and goes on vacation and THEN has (no comments) regarding a major issues like an invasion of a country he looks like Bush did during his book reading session while the second plane flew into the world trade centre.

Richard the current numbers between the Conservatives and Liberals are actually the same as the ones between the Republicans and the Democrats.

Why risk a crap shoot or calling to an inside straight. Get Hillary on board now Barack before it is toooooooo late.
