Dean - I still think it is not worth the risk as CIC clearly states dependent should be a full time student and dependent financially on principal applicants. Do you really want to take the risk your future? This would be penny wise pound foolish. I know a family personally, whose dependent was denied because they suspected she could be working.( details I cannot give here) please I would request you to reconsider. No offence to Sharon but she is NOT immigration officer or even a lawyer or consultant. She does try her best but remember everyone has limitations and she is making a mistake on positively assuring someone of which she has no knowledge or experience and putting someone future in jeopardy. If I was in your place I would never risk my immigration but it is your call.

(in reply to: Dependent Child: working as part-time (FOR DEAN)-2) Sharon is basing her opinion on common sense which most Visa Officers have.
COMMON SENSE (A)

(in reply to: Dependent Child: working as part-time (FOR DEAN)-2) full time student and financially dependent- that is the law/rule. earning pocket money affects niether... just make sure the school continues.
contrary to popular belief, immigration officials are rational people.

(in reply to: Dependent Child: working as part-time (FOR DEAN)-2) even if they knew, Common Sense is still going to prevail.
I do not see any risk in this whatsoever.
