(in reply to: Can I apply for Independent Skilled Worker) If your parents are citizens, they can sponsor you for family-class immigration. You´re not clear what status your parents have. Otherwise, you can always apply for skilled worker immigration if you think you qualify.

(in reply to: Can I apply for Independent Skilled Worker) Dear Richard,
Let me, first of all, thank you with my deep appreciation for your helpful response. My parents are Landed Immigrant and they can´t sponsor me under the family-class immigration because I´m to old for that and do you have any idea how many months if apply here in Canada as a skilled worker.

(in reply to: Can I apply for Independent Skilled Worker) Hello Jane,
You´re right, if you´re older than 21 your parents cannot sponsor you. It looks like the next best option is federal skilled worker or provincial nominee. But there is a good option just for you: In-Canada Application for Permanent Residence (Live-in Caregivers).
Check this link for more information and how to apply:

(in reply to: Can I apply for Independent Skilled Worker) Hi Richard!
Thank you so much for your time and replying my question, That´s why I want to apply for federal skilled worker or provincial nominee because I think this is the fastest way to do, because I still wait for 2yrs before I become a Landed Immigrant under the Live-in Caregiver.

(in reply to: Can I apply for Independent Skilled Worker) federal skilled worker could easily take more than 2 years.
look for an opportunity under a work permit and provincial nominee program.

(in reply to: Can I apply for Independent Skilled Worker) I am afraid your nephew would have to come on his own merits. He would be able claim 5 points for adaptability as a result of you being in Canada.
he should go to www.cic.gc.ca and take the online test for skilled worker to see if he has the appropriate credentials.
