I live in Buffalo, NY but I haven´t yet received my PR (waiting for PR after medicals). I intend to go and stamp the visa in person as their consulate is just few blocks from my house!!

However, some Canadian friends of mine here in Buffalo go back and forth between Toronto and Buffalo using Greyhound, which is the best bus service between canada and us.

On greyhound.com

enter (From): buffalo city and then (To): Toronto, ON and click on trip schedules. you will see that greyhound bus takes around 2 hrs and its trip line goes through Niagra falls border crossing point.

However, I heard that the border corssing point of PEACE Bridge from Buffalo is much better. It is very close to Buffalo Downtown (where I live) but seems that Greyhound doesn´t go through this point.

I will use Peace Bridge as it is close to my area. Visit their web site: peacebridge.com and read the information there.

So I need to go to Peace bridge from Buffalo airport... finish the immigration procedure and take a bus from there to Toronto. Is that correct?

Can you tell which bus service goes from there to Toronto..?

Greyhound station is in Buffalo Downtown.

Buffalo airport is 45 mins from Buffalo Downtown

Greyhound bus does not go through Peace Bridge Crossing Point. It goes through Niagra falls crossing point. Check again on greyhound.com

Eventually, it doesn´t matter .....any point..Just land in Canada!!

I thought you live in Buffalo... that´s why I gave detailed info.

I landed by Greyhound though through Champlan, Montreal. No matter, process is the same.

There is no need to change bus. The bus gives a good break time for the immigration/customs. It doesn´t take long to process new landing, unless any specific issue comes up. In general the bus waits even little longer, if it is too long they they leave and you have to take the next bus. For me, the process was less than 10 mins, though it was long back.

By the way, GreyHound is the only bus service available in the USA, believe the same in Canada. You may see some local names but they are all greyhound. They can have several routes as well. Once I went to Montreal from the US midwest, it crossed the Windsor border and went Montreal through Toronto.

landing is not a very lengthy process. Since you are planning to land by bus so i assume you do not have a lot stuff to carry with you. Bus will stop on border for customs and immigration and hopefully you will be done in reasonable time and ride the same bus. If not you can take the next bus using the same ticket. Speak to your driver before getting off the bus.
