Subject: hypothetical question
I am married to a Canadian citizen. What if immigration rejects my application for permanent residency (spouse sponsorship)? How could they keep us apart? Are we supposed to just stop loving each other and move on?

no, if you did an outland application you can appeal. Plan B is that your Canadian citizen spouse joins you in your home country to live happily ever after.

or... you choose a third country of your choice.

My brother in Pakistan hired someone to fill up his visitor;s visa form to visit me in Canada but he was rejected because of a forged bank statement the visa consultant obtain. My brother was not aware of what were submitted as the consultant had handled everything.
I understand that my brother will be banned for 2 years but what can we do to prevent from getting banned as he is innocent.
Any advise.

Lesson; "Do not trust those consultants. They are
just blood suckers taking advantage of you. Do your own application forms, it´s simple. Using a consultant does not get any faster than doing it yourself anyway.
Go to the Canadian Embassy personally to get the facts.
See the web Immigration Canada Website.

I want to know how to get my brother out of this mess. We do not need the money paid to this consultant, we just want my brother to have a clean name with the embassy.
Yes, we now realise that all immigration consultants are frauds. They just have fancy ads and websites. Nice words nad promises.

unfortunately, he is going to have to wait it out. Unless he can sue the consultant and win, I doubt that CIC will even contemplate buying the story that he was duped.

They would suggest he is only sorry that he got caught.
