Subject: Working in US
Hi,I´ve just become a Canadian citizen. Can you tell me what I need to do to work in US legally? If I work in US, do I have to pay income tax for both US and Canada? I have a diploma of Restaurant Management. And I´ve been working for 1.5 years at a restaurant.
Thanks a lot for your time

Most easiest way is to go under TN visa. You need to have a job offer letter and related degree qualifued under US NAFTA job classification. You can search the US official NAFTA website.

If you cut file non-residency in Canada then no need to pay tax in both country, just US. But then in Canada yu can´t hold your driving license, bank account..health card..

Let´s be realistic.
At this time, finding a job in a restuarant in the US ain´t that easy - more so applying for a working visa for this category- very unlikely.
If you were a nurse, it will be a different story.

In that sense job finding is never easy in anywhere.

True, in recent bad time resturants are in bad shapes, some chains had to cut down many stores nation wide. Though I don´t know particularly about this job field, but can say that managing a job may not be still that dificult.

Mostly depends on how desperately you are looking for.
