hello please could someone tell me on the ppr letter it says to fill out the family names and and first name but on the indian passport its written surname which i understand is family name, but in given name section they usually write our first name and and father name please could some tell me what to write in the first name section, because its written enter details exactly likr the passport.

enter exactly like passport means that you should enter it with exact spellings and write your exact name as it is mentioned on the passport.
First name means first name. For examle, your full name is A Singh. A is your first name, Singh is your Last name or family name. Write A in the first name or given name and singh in last naem or family name or surname. Remember format of the forms and your passport could be different which is a normal thing but your last name would always remain your last name and first name as first name so what is the problem. Just write first name in the first name colum and last name in the last name colum exactly as it is spelled on your passport.

I am also facing same problem as Singh, i received PPR with that we have updated information chart. To enter surname and first name on updated information chart we have to enter it exactly written on bio-page of passport.But as singh said on our indian passports we have our full name written on bio-page of passport on Givennames section and our Surname field is Empty. So now Mr.Mike can you tell us that can we leave our Surname(familyname) field empty on Updated information chart(UIC) and write our full name(including familyname) on first name column of UIC.
