Subject: term insurance for nonresidents
Hi,

For those on study and work permits, do you have or do you know of a Canadian life term insurance for nonresidents?

I have life insurance from my home country but I would like to get term insurance to mitigate expenses in case I go pffft! while I´m here.

Thanks.

We were visited by a Sun Life Financial representative who dropped off a bunch of brochures. They do visitor Insurance and Insurance for New Comers to Canada. The representative name is Hemant Patil 416-412-0401 Ext 304 e-mail hemant.patil@sunlife.com

I in no way endorse this company nor do I have any association with this Insurance Representative.

Check out Blue Cross. We are using them until we have satisfied our 3 month residency requirement for medicare. Very inexpensive rates, as compared to employer based insurance in the US.
