  To All

I have soured on the US election that goes on and on like the battery bunny.

We in Canada do things a little different and devide up our representation sometimes unusually.

There are more ridings in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) then in all of British Colombia. These GTA ridings will send more members of Parliament to Ottawa then BC will. That said it also appears that the Toronto area will have little or no influence on the outcome of this election for the first time in decades. The best politician in all of Canada raised that issue yesterday in Mississauga and the leaders should pay attention.

The land of Sharon (BC) is important and we wait for their polls to close before votes are announced.

In Canada the little person counts unlike US politics. All Canadian politicians should know that. The best example is the inclusion of Elizabeth May of the Green Party in the leaders debates. Elizabeth May just might unseat a family dynasty in Canadian political circles. Either way this lady in the leaders debate is one to watch instead of the US Vice President Debate.

Oh Canada!! FUN WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Could you please elaborate it little more? Sounds a bit contradictory to me. GTA with more population will send more MPs, then still have little influence?

Representation is by population in Canada and since most of British Colombia is mountains they have fewer ridings or potential members of parliament.

Quebec ridings if they swing from the Bloc to the Conservatives will decide the election. The Liberals lost several ridings in Quebec last election which caused the Conservatives to form a minority government.

Toronto is all Liberal accept for the Leader of the NDP Jack Layton and his wife Olivia Chow. Few can see any changes in how the people in the GTA vote.

but

Time will tell.

It is always alleged that the liberals made the immigration too open just to create a vote bank for them, makes some sense to me, though not sure the full authenticity. Now wonder in GTA they´ll always get wide margin. In Canada, non born Canadians mostly support the liberals, in US the democrats.

The Conservatives have always been anti immigrant and the Liberals pro Immigrant.

Lets not forget just how many years the Liberals were in Power and how fast the Conservatives disappeared when they signed the NAFTA deal with GW Daddy.

The Conservative backroom boys are making it real easy to defeat the Conservatives, Harper just keeps saying I´m sorry day after day.

Maybe the GTA will have a say in this election and Vancouver ridings can be the icing on the Conservative farewell cake.

They are all funny Sharon but the Conservatives the most funny. Examples

Harper has removed some of his staff for comments and the Puffin POOP DUMB!!!! Harper cutting the Diesel Tax WOW .02 cents a litre will really make a HUGE difference in every families bank account.

What about the Liberals?

Dion in Vancouver yesterday trying to convince BC residents regarding his carbon tax when gas jumps 13 cents a litre, very hard sell LOL

Layton and the NDP after all these years trying to be treated as an equal then prevents the Greens from the Leaders debate. Super Dumb!

Best thing so far is what the NDP came out with. Cutting ATM charges because that hits every family and mostly kids trying to save. My son used an ATM to take out $20.00 and he got charged $1.50 by that machine and $1.50 from his bank.

To take out $20.00 dollars it cost him $3.00 which is not logical.

ATM charges affect the lower classes and the kids the most. It is estimated that we all could save about $100.00 per year! Go Jack!!!
