I fully intended to submit my application from the UK but medical circumstances with my wife´s mother has me feeling that I should be in Canada to support my new wife at this very difficult time.
My question is then....having got my medical and police certs etc while still in UK, can I go to be with my wife in Canada and still submit these documents from there as part of my application or do I go through Canadian channels for these over again.....I don´t mind which, due to gravity of situation but just need clarification.
Also, as I wouldn´t be coming back to UK once I´m in Canada, would there be anything I should inform passport control etc on arrival.

Joe,
You are able to use an Outland application even if you are within Canada with your wife.
The issue will be when you are coming into Canada. Because you are not showing intent to leave the country, the immigration officer may or may not grant you entry. If you specifically state that you don´t intend to leave the country, I suspect that you will be denied as you would be granted entry to the country on a visitors visa which has an expiration.
Is your wife in Canada already? I will be bringing my Greek husband with me. I will be accompanying him into the country, bringing our marriage certificate, showing that we have already applied for PR (although I think you can show intent to apply for PR ~ forms, medical, criminal checks,etc. A receipt for the fees would go a long way to showing you are serious about your intent to apply) and the receipt that we have paid our immigration fees. He will have a return ticket to Greece showing that he will return if his visitor visa expires before his PR is approved.
