| Subject: For immigration academic IELTS acceptible or not |
i appeared in wronge IELTS type test ,i supposed to appear in general IELTS but i appeared in academic test. For immigration purpose is it acceptible or not .
please give me your´s valuable advise .

On the CIC site they state:
"Note: IELTS has two options for the reading and writing tests: General Training and Academic. You must take the General Training option."
Having said that, academic is bit more difficult than general. If you have achieved a acceptable score they may accept it. But they may not. If you want to be on the safe side, retake it. Or you can submit it and see what they say.

The academic is harder.
They should accept it even though they say something else on their web site. I also recommend that you provide additional documentation for language proficiency such as certificates of training in English speaking countries (in your case, UK) and work experience as well. Send them all together and write a cover letter explaining how you are proficient.

Thanks for your valuable advise , i did ma in international business , and ma in marketing practice too from UK . I have seven year marketing experience from UK and Eight year from Pakistan as a logistic officer .
Still they asked me IELTS . In the letter they send to me they havnt mentioned which type of IELTS i supposed to appear . I got all my jobs refference , letter of recommendation from my head of department from bradford uni here .
Any way thanks again your advise , i booked again my general ielts ,hope so in both type i will get 7 bands
