Subject: Spouse Sponsorship
I would like to sponsor my husband, apply for his landing rights and eventually move to canada for good. We currently reside in Dubai, U.A.E. We have 4 kids all of whom are Canadian Citizens. My Husband is a Tanzanian National and his profession is a Business person and i so not work. My question is can i apply OUTSIDE canada and with my case i am not the bread earner, but my husband can support himself quiet well? Waiting for your reply.
Thanks
Fatma

IF that huge word!

R U Canadian and if the answer is YES no problem.

Now even though you have four kids do not thing that proves your married.

Even though you attend Pub Night at the Canadian Embassy with your partner every week that does not prove your married.

You have to show a bond between the two of you. Realize that a local person may be designated CIC Officer and is jealous or wants to cause you difficulty.

Prove the relationship, WELL and all will be super.

Thanks for the QUICK response. Yes i am a Canadian. Re: the Bond i got married in UAE 9 years ago, got my surname changed at the local Canadian Council with the local marriage certificate, which they recognize. Had all my kids with him in Dubai. Ever since we got married, he has not felt the need for me to work as he has his own business, he has paid all the bill todate.
1.How else can i prove we are genuine and this is not fake?
2. Can i apply through the local Canadian council or do i have to apply in Canada?
Waiting and thanks,
Fatma

Proving that you are a genuine couple is dependent on the type and the amount of documentation provided. Pertinent, up to date documents and both 3rd party and interested party evidence is required.

You will indeed have to submit the first step of the applicaiton at the Processing Center in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The second part of the application process, and the interview [if necessary] will take part overseas.
