I am from Chile, I have just received good news about our application, the medicals have been aproved and our case is finished, as soon as we pay the resident permanent fee, we will receive the visas. We are still celebrating such news waited for so long. And I just wanted to share with you my happiness, I have been following this forum for a while and I hope all people here get what they want, thanks FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND ADVICE!!
My timeline was:
Jun 07 - Applied
Jun 07 - AOR
Nov 07 - IA Documents and Ielts requested
Apr 08 - All documents sent
Aug 08 - Medicals requested.
Aug 29 - Medicals conducted and sent to Trinidad y Tobago
Sep 08 - Passport requested

come on......you did not wait for so long....applied june 07 and got PPR in Sep 08. This is the fastest and the best and the most reasonable time that you got your immigrant visa. Congratulation and Welcome to Canada!

To which embassy did you send your papers? I sent them to Lima in Aug 07. Still waiting for medicals.

I live in Chile and all our papers went to Santiago Office, once the medicals where ready, they go to Trinidad y Tobago, and only one week after we received an e-mail asking for the passports and the resident fee. It was a dreamed timeline, right!!
