I applied for citizenship in October 2007. I have received the
booklet for test prepartion an everything long time ago but i do not
know what else to do now. Who will schedule the test and how will
they inform me, i have no idea, i am very confused. Please help. My
online status sates that we started processing your application in
Feb 2008. Will they give me schedule for test or i have to ask them
for this. Because its been almost a year now since i applied and i
am still without the test or any schedule. Please guide me through
the whole process. i live in Toronto.

(in reply to: CITIZEN SHIP QUESTION) Ideally, you are supposed to get a notice for the citizenship written test if they don´t need any farther documentation and your form is OK. Nothing should initiate from your part.
Then after passing, should get an invitation to take the oath.
Processing time varies depending on which part of the country you applied from.
You may check the current processing time in the CIC website for the citizenship and have a guess about when to expect the call.
However, in general the entire process shouldn´t take more than an year...not sure the current time frame though. If you think that you are delayed then can t he CIC 1-800 cumber with your file number and inquire them.
