Ross (or anyone else) within country or out

Subject: Ross (or anyone else) within country or out
so, I´ve been living under the radar here in Canada for 7 years. I´m from the states. I´ve found my true love and we got married a year and a half ago. We´ve postponed my immigration for this long, due to the fact that I wouldn´t be able to come and go, like I can now. First, we had weddings in the states to attend, then the holidays, then my parents poor health, then I had to move my parents. The next thing we know it´s been a year an a half. we were going to apply with me living in Canada, but from what I´ve been reading, it seems that it would be quicker for me to apply out of country and then I can continue to cross the border on a visiting visa, or "waved through" like I normally due, while my papers are processed.
Our concern is that we have no paper trail to validate our relationship through phone calls or travel, because I for the most part have been spending most my time in Canada. we didn´t want to fudge any facts. we want to be straight up when dealing with this. so to apply outside of Canada seems wrong. However, I have also out stayed my visiting visa. I return often, but the majority of my time is spent in Canada.
we are in the process of buying a house and it´s a bit scary to think now I could be refused PR.
any suggestions on how to apply? we´ve almost completed our application from within the country, but now I feel like we should change it.
any help would be much appreciated.

The best route to take is based on your personal circumstances. If there is no need to go back to the States then do an In Canada application which will or could take two years.

Outside can be appealed if refused.

The onus is on you to prove that your relationship is real, having a child or a house proves little by itself.

Paper Trail LOL, LOL, LOL

Create one.

Your partner has friends who know you. Let them write a letter and attach their status documents with a drivers license to prove where they reside stating that you cheat at monopoly or you shovel their lane way etc. etc.

You have the power and if she and you are worth it then do your spousal application right the first time.
