Can anyone give me a rough idea of how long it takes to process the common-law sponsorship application and have the visa issued?

(in reply to: common-law partner: processing times) Depends on whether or not you are applying inland or outland. If you are applying outland, you will need to check which office will handle your case.
The choice to apply inland or outland is a personal one, but there are many factors such as right to appeal, time to process that you need to consider when choosing which route to take.
