Subject: Advice from experts needed please
Hi all, if I´ve got a job from an employer in a city different from the one I indicated as my intended city during PR application, do I need to write to CIC about this change? I understand outside Quebec, I can land wherever I want to. However, now I´ve got a job, I´m afraid the visa officer will wonder why my job location is different from the one I wrote as my intended destination. Please advice. Thank you very much.

You need to let CIC know you have a valid job offer in Canada so they can process your PR application quicker.

You applied for Federal program, as you said, outside of Quebec you can land anywhere you like after you get your PR.

Thank you very much Ray Masa

I have the valid documents which I´m going to send very soon. I was just wondering along with the documents if I needed to "tell" them about the intended destination change.

So let me get this right, you have delayed sending the application because you don’t know if you should tell CHC regarding the change in destination city??????

If you have doubts, why don’t you just tell them that you have decided to change the destination city and why? For crying out loud people, why are you delaying your application for such a simple matter? Is the visa process already not long enough for you that you must unnecessarily add more time to it????????????????????????????????/

I am sorry if I sound a bit irritated. It just amazes me that you would delay sending in your application for such a minor matter. If in doubt give them more information than less.

No, Ray, not like what you said. I´ve just received the AEO letter. And now I´m just preparing the cover letter and will be sending the documents to CIC right away. That´s why I´m asking if I "also" need to inform them in the cover letter of the destination change. Well, maybe it´s just absolutely not necessary. Do you know what I mean?

Ah ok. Sorry If I sounded a bit irritated. Waiting for this painfully long process to finish is stressing me out and when I perceive someone is unnecessarily delaying the process even more (which I assumed you were), it got me a bit annoyed as to why anyone would do that.

Anyway, as I said if you have a doubt, better to send them more information then risk delaying the process because CHC didn’t had all the information.

In this particular instance, destination (outside of Quebec) is not an issue. But if you are worried, tell them anyway.
