Subject: TRV Actual Date of Arrival is Deferred ?

Hi Everyone,

May I request for the advice/view of Sharon, Roy and other knowledgeable people here regarding this subject matter.

I have been granted a Canadian Temporary Resident Visa.

The date that I have indicated on my TRV application when I submitted it to the embassy several weeks ago is October 15-22, 2008 (meaning I will be visiting Canada on Oct 15-22). However, due to changes on my work schedule, I am planning to visit Canada on November 27-30, 2008.

If I decide to visit Canada in November (about six weeks delay on which was stated on my TRV application), will the Canadian TRV that is granted to me be null and void? Do I have to submit a new application for Canadian TRV?

TRV do you mean CVV Canadian Visitor Visa?

Student Permits and Work Permit applications from a country where the person requires a Visitor Visa they have to apply for a TRV just to get them on the plane. TRV´s are issued as a single entry or multiple entries.

A single entry TRV or CVV has to be used within six months of issue. This six months leads many to think that when they arrive at a Port of Entry POE they are entitled to be in Canada for six months. So if your referring to a TRV/CVV you will be fine.

Hope that answers your question.
