This is a disgrace. Agencies like these (Tait) must be closed, and must be hold accountable for all the damages it has done. and not the Caregiver program in the Philippines.

Filipinos maybe poor, but they have souls too. They try to have a better life. They work hard, APART from families for years just to have better life which is on the other side is not making sense.

What is family without living? And what is making a living far from your families?

Yet look what this agency did to the lady? This lady was helpless and a novice here in Canada...but they took advantage of her.

We do not want these things to happen to us, to our kids, our families, our relatives...

this is raging.

justice
(in reply to: Nanny was fooled by agency)
Justice when one wants Justice one must turn to the Law. Anyone can be upset for someone charging $4,500.00 for finding a job that pays $420.00 per week.

Heron Lloyd Tait of Jinkholm International http://www.jinkholm.com/pages/about.html is not regulated because the Government says it is not a requirement. See In Land Processing Manuals IP9.

Danya Scott of Jinkholm International is also listed as a Consultant but neither Danya nor Heron are authorized representatives or CSIC members. The writer of this article fails to mention that key point.

As the regulatory amendments do not apply to citizenship applications, educational agents or Human Resources and Skills Development applications for labour market options, certain functions are permissible by individuals who are not authorized. These individuals include educational agents, translators, shipping agents, facilitators for the Immigrant Investor Program, recruiters for provincial nominees and live-in caregivers, tour organizers and adoption agents.

Justice if you think the Law is wrong now is the time to stand up at an all candidates meeting and raise this point. You can also ask any of them if they are going to support the report from the Standing Committee of CIC regarding Immigration Consultants.

Youre right Roy:

If the Law in Canada is enforced without favor and fear, Law must take actions for these inhuman treatments.

I believe theres a lot of people working on these Laws with a good heart, and a firm justice on hand.

I believe that though Manuel may have worked illegaly, its not her fault. Her mind was totally aware about it. Shes just after her big loans to start with underpaid heavy labor, and after her family back home, waiting for her dreams to beam on them.

my employers dog had the best treatment, and retirement benefits.

im just so fortunate im living as a caregiver with a good employer.

-plain slavery-

hope i could do something to bring this to everyones heart.

justice
(in reply to: Nanny was fooled by agency)

i read the story. it made me cry. i cant imagine such maltreatment from same human.

if shes my neighbor, and i have much wealth i would accommodate her, get her a lawyer, and let her have the justice.

but all i can fully hope, is, the law may still be wandering, or too busy for this...but for GOD to be on her side right now until shes redeemed from that agency.

i hope that agency will dissolve right now.
