RE-ENTRY APPROVAL for VISITORS

Subject: RE-ENTRY APPROVAL for VISITORS
  Can a person on visitor visa with application for PR(H&C) in process in Canada get a RE-ENTRY permission if he/she decides to leave the country on temporary basis. Is there any thing like RE-ENTRY APPROVAL or something which allows people to travel back and forth when their IN CANADA application is in process.
