Hey guys , i have a question ,
My PR card will be expired in 10 days , however i am out of canada at the moment and cant go back at the moment. The problem is that my new card isnt ready and the old one is almost expired and im outside canada, how can i re-enter if my card is expired ???

Have to take a single entry Travel Document from your closest Canadian consulate for $50.
You may download the application form from the official CIC website.

So basically just get a normal visa ?
but doesnt that in a way screw up my residency and stuff ?
I heard that there is an official government letter saying that ppl with an expired card can enter canada through land via the USA , is that true ???

No, this is not any regular visa, though a special type of visa only for this purpose. For the landed immigrants with expired or lost PR card while staying abroad. You´ll be interviewd and have to satisfy the visa officer that you didn´t lose the PR status, so be prepare to explain that. Proof can be your leasing agreement, pay stubs..anything confirmign that you stayed the min´m 2 years out of 5, OR staying with your Canadian ctizen wife...

NO, at least I never heard anything like that. Closest may be you can enter with an expired PR card if not travelling by any commercial carrier, meaning by a personal car.

Yes this is what i meant, is that possible with no visa ?
and about the officer, do i need an interview even if my card is with me but its expired ?

With No visa may be possible only if you are coming through the US, provided not by any commercial carrier, has to be by a personal car.
You must go through an interview and have to satisfy that your PR status is still valid otherwise why would they issue you.

I HAVE A question . i have my pr card canada validity to 3 months . i have applied to pr card renewal , but i haven´t received my new card. i wants to travel abroad and will come back to canada before 5 days of my pr card expiry date . will i be allowed to enter canada at this situation. i heard , i need validity of pr card minimum of 6 months if i want to enter back to canada , when travelling abroad - is this true.

m PR is expired and my wife is in canada and she has not met 730 days, and I was the principal applicant , can she ask for PR extention and complete 1035 days on her own and get citizenship.
or it has to be the principal applicant who gets citizenship first.

each of you - independent of each other - must fulfill residency requirements to qualify for citizenship.
Why do you want citizenship if you are not interested in living in Canada?
