Subject: Disappointed and sad
  Hello again,
Just heard the bad news, that my sister´s application has been refused. She was assigned 64 points. The refusal letter came only a few days after she has mailed them the last documents of French exam (although it was not TEF) and I am think the embassy did not receive this document before making the decision.
My question is, in case they that have received the proof of French after their decision, will the embassy review the file or this is final?
My sister got only 20 points in education, although she is now in the last year (4) of the second degree. I am surprised and disappointed that no additional points were assigned to her.
So please anyone who can help me answer this question, if there is any hope in this file, or should I consider it closed forever.
Thank you as always.
Miri

you can try a request but if you have not sent the exact documents they requested... you may get more of the same sort of answer.

points are assigned on the date of application - not on the date of review so the 20 points may very well have been her situation at point of application.

I would suggest giving the request a try but also plan to give it another try.

Sorry, but the decision is final.

You can either, appeal it or re-apply.

Cheers,

Bill

I don´t believe there is an appeal option but I am hoping they may extend the window for information updates by a few days to allow the french language info. The worst they can say is no and without trying you will never know.

Thank you Max
We have sent and email to the embassy 3 weeks ago, but there is no reply yet. I am not sure if we should sent any letter by mail or involve any immigration representative.
If you have any idea what is the best thing to do at this point, I will really appreciate it.

Best regards,
