I am currently on an open work permit, but it expires in 4 months. I have received a positive LMO for my current job, valid for three years, and they will apply for a new work permit next month. The new permit would be specific to that job.
My question is - can I change jobs once I am on the restricted work permit, and if so how would I go about it? If I changed jobs while on the open work permit would I have time to apply for a new LMO and work permit?
And do they look unfavourably on people who apply for more than one LMO?
Should I apply for residency now or wait? Would it affect my ability to change jobs?

What do you mean by open work permit? Is there such a thing in Canada?
By saying Open Work Perrmit, did you mean you were awarded a work permit even without a job offer from a Canadian employer?

i am on open work because my husband is on temporary work permit(NOC skill levelB)

if you are on open job can you apply for LMO
when you will have LMO i tink you can just be working for this employee.
