Subject: Canadian Experience Class - Question
I completed a 2 yrs post secondary diploma program from an accredited institution in Canada and graduated in August 2008 and was expecting a 3 year Post Grad Work Permit. I was granted a 1 year PG work permit and on inquiry I learnt that the reason behind the 1 year PGWP is that I used the transfer credits from my home country while pursuing the 2 year program in Canada. So, as per CIC, I didnt complete 2 years of education in Canada and hence am not eligible for a 3-year PGWP.
My question is - to become eligible under Canadian Experience Class, how many years of work experience do I need? Will CIC consider my 2 year diploma as 2 years of full time education?
