Hi,
I finally recd my 90 day update letter on Oct 13, 2006. I have got my Police clearance certificated in hand. The UAE one says that is valid for just 3 months.
My IELTS is scheduled for 6th Dec, very close to my cut-off date of 1st Jan (results will come thru only on the 21st Dec). At the time of application in 2006, I had sent them proof of language with letters, results and newspaper articles. The update letter only asks for stuff u haven´t sent before.
My question is this: Would it be ok for me to send them all the stuff (except the IELTS result) by early next month (seeing that I have sent them written proof earlier) and send the results when they arrive?, or should I wait and send the language result too? (but then My PCC will expire in Jan)? what do u say?

- Yes send all what you have NOW. Take your position in the long queue. Once you receive a file number, send the rest. There is a gap period between filing the application and reviewing it by the officers. During this time, update your file.
- Don´t worry about the expiry date of PCC. At least, it should be valid at the time of application.

Thanks Openoyster. But I already have a file no. My AOR is July 2006. This is the 90 date update letter I have recd. Therefore the dilemma.

Samina,
You should send the documents you have as soon as you can. Keep in mind that CHC will be closed for Christmas and New Years as well, so they may not receive the documents in time if you leave it too late into December.
If you have already sent IELTS when you applied you don’t need to resend it. But if you do, attach a cover letter with the rest of the document explaining the timeline for IELTS and that you will send those over as soon as you have the results.
Try not to miss the deadline for returning the documents. Its more important that they receive the documents they don’t have (especially the police certification) than the ones they already have.

Thanks Ray. What u say makes a lot of sense. I never thought about the holidays. I guess I will send all the stuff except IELTS now.

Ray is absolutely right. in addition to that. should you feel noT that confident that you have passed the IELTS you you just have taken, submit an IELTS registration slip as proof that you will be sitting for IELTS examination again and ask for extension.multiple exam would be fine.
Dont wait for your IELTS result for you might be late for submission of documents for 90 days. submit all documents you have in hand. PCC may be submitted also during medical.
