| Subject: Validity Visitor Visa vs Date of Entry into Canada |

Hi!,
My friend has a Visitor Visa issued for Single Entry from India on 1-Aug-2008 for a period of 6 Months (valid upto 30-Jan-2009).
He reached Canada by Flight on 10-Oct-2008.
The Customs Officer at the Airport only stamped his passport without writing any Expiry Date or Validity Date or any other remarks.
My Question is:
Upto what date is my friend allowed to stay in Canada?
a). Upto 30-Jan-2009
b). Upto 08-Apr-2009 (6 Months from the date he entered Canada)
If any person has faced a similar situation, please inform.
