Subject: ROY, I need help with immigration
Hi, I´m currently applying canadian PR under skilled worker category. My application was received October 16th 2006 in Singapore office. I´d like to ask a few questions if I may.

First, I applied through a consultant (KAM International), but it´s very hard to get in contact with them. So I contacted the CIC office in Singapore and explained my situation and I decided to cut KAM out and proceed with the application myself. So, what do I need to proceed with it? Since my consultant was useless, I´ve received only a scanned cover page of an envelope (I have no idea what´s in the envelope) with my file number on it. I´ve been reading the simplified application that no documents are needed to be sent to CIC until I was told. So does that mean that my agent had sent nothing to CIC and I just wait for CIC to give the instruction? If it is, what kind of documents do I need to send later? I´d like to prepare some documents (I will not make any documents that have an expiry date)

Second, when I applied for the immigration on October 2006, I was still single. But I just got married last month. And my wife is I have friends suggesting that I should leave the application as single, after getting my PR, I can get re-married in Canada. That way my wife can get her PR immediately. I am afraid that if I change my application status from single to married, it will prolong the application process. So what should I do? If I stick with the first option (keeping my single status), what should I answer if I have to have an interview?

Thanks in advance for all your answers

Your friends told you to lie and not inform CIC you are now married and you don´t know what to do?

R U for real?

You are on this site and therefore should know of many posters who either deliberately or without knowledge left their children off applications and therefore when sponsoring them later IRPR 117 (9) (d) kicks in and they are refused from sponsoring a dependent that was never declared prior to their Landing.

You can obtain additional points for your partners qualifications.

This would be a logical reason not to include her in the application because you do not want to be beholding to her for four or five additional points. Do what your friends say because of course (lie) and not include her because you do not want to spend the rest of your life with her in Canada!

NEXT QUESTION

Nice try at entrapment.
