| Subject: Unable to land |
I have decided not to land for Canada PR, and therefore give it up. The immigration visa stamp for PR on my passport will expire this week. Do I need to contact CIC for refund of landing fee before this visa stamp expires or can I contact them afterwards and ask for fee refund?

You can ask for your landing fee before or after the expiration date of your visa. However, it´s a good idea that you write a letter to them telling your intention to give up your immigration project.

I can´t believe people like you waste the time of immigration officers. How many people -I am one of them- are looking forward to have their PR visas?, and now we see someone who´s giving up his PR wasting his money. People like you should not get a refund, this money should be sent to a poor village in Africa instead!

Hey Dan, take it easy. You don´t know why Amit is not landing? Life happens. I am sure you are anxiously waiting to hear from them and folks like him upset you but you don´t know the whole story and Amit is not at liberty to tell you why so please chill.
