  My Morning Rant

This is a public forum and many hide who they really are when replying to postings I DECIDED NOT TO HIDE WHO I AM BY LISTING MY WEB SITE AFTER EVERY TIME I POST AN ANSWER.

Any question asked that receives an answer can be correct information or incorrect information. There are plenty who are doing Immigration Consulting as a side job with no regulation or control over them and some answer questions here. Be careful and always confirm the advice you get.

Too many people when dealing with Immigration issues are focused on the price of the advice their being charged and not on the quality of the representative they hire.

"THE RESULTS ONE GETS FROM RETAINING A QUALITY REPRESENTATIVE WHO IS EXPERIENCED AND AUTHORIZED IS INVALUABLE".

The key words in that statement is authorized and experienced!

Hiring some one who is authorized but has no experience in your area of concern and can not give you references who you can speak with is not worth anything. If they can not prove that they have assisted plenty of others in similar circumstances think twice before retaining them.

Hiring someone who is very experienced and not authorized leaves you vulnerable because CIC, IRB, IAD or CBSA will not discuss your case with them unless they are an authorized representative.

The only difference between authorized representatives with the same experience is that a Lawyer can appeal to the Federal Court, Immigration Consultants can´t. Huge Law firms can many times turn the vast majority of your case over to a Junior inexperienced brand new Lawyer or employee so be careful. Many authorized Immigration Consultants will have a more hands on approach to your personal problem. You need to do plenty of research before you hand over your hard earned cash!

THE REASON WHY I POST HERE ------- is because quite a while ago while reading this forum in the early morning something unusual happened. After logging in and reading one post I saw someone had just posted a new question

WHICH WAS ---- Can anyone recommend a good representative in the Greater Toronto Area?

I did not respond but opened another posting to read that one. When I returned to the main page I saw within less then one minute someone had actually responded and I thought WOW so quickly.

The person responding (Anonymous) suggested that the original person posting the question hire company (ABC).

Being located in the GTA Greater Toronto Area and not knowing who Anonymous was referring to I looked up company (ABC). I noticed the following; The representative had just graduated the previous year from the Seneca College Immigration Consultant Course. That the representative had limited knowledge and experience which showed clearly through certain things on company (ABC) web site.

I posted a reply to the original person that the representative that anonymous had just recommended had limited knowledge and experience and since the original posting did not state what the problem was there was no evidence that company (ABC) would suit his concerns.

Boy did I get attacked......

That is when I learned what a IP address is.

The original posting was from the same computer that Anonymous used to recommend company (ABC) and since they were only one minute apart it had to mean they were from the same person recommending his/her own company or employer.

I have never met in person anyone on this forum who answers questions on a regular basis including Sharon, Bill, DC, Ray Masa etc. etc.. The other day (W) he/she got offended by me posting the name they use to respond to questions when Ray Masa PROVED by attaching a link from CIC web site that (W) was giving the wrong or (BAD) advice.

This was my quote "To All ----- please try to research things on your own but do not take anything anyone here answers (including myself) as fact because someone says their answer is the 100% truth could get you into SERIOUS trouble".

So who is Ray Masa?????????? I don´t know but probably Ray Masa is someone just like me with a passion to make a difference in peoples lives.

............Oh I can´t help myself it was WOLVERINE and he/she claims he/she has 500 cases and is experienced. EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES WOLVERINE but trying to insult me because I´m going bald does not upset me, in any way shape or form. LOL LOL It is a fact I am losing my hair and is part of who I am. SO?

Back to your experience hmmmmm you have 500 cases and you use a pseudonym of Wolverine. What is in a name like Wolverine, Wolverine a smelly viscous animal who has been described as the fiercest creature on earth which belongs to the Weasel family. hmmmm.

IF I HAD ONLY 500 CASES WOLVERINE I WOULDN´T HAVE TO SPEND TWO OR THREE MINUTES TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHICH CLIENT I´M TALKING TO ON THE PHONE OR IN FRONT OF ME EVERYDAY. OH TO HAVE A MANAGEABLE CASE LOAD AGAIN!!!

When you make a public mistake Wolverine and it is clearly pointed out by someone like Ray Masa who is not my employee quietly accept that fact and move on.

Morning all.

Morning Roy.

Nope, I am not here because I am passionate about making a difference in others lives. I am here because I am going through the process myself (FSW application) and just wanted to see what others have done/doing.

So while I am visiting the forum and I see a post I know the answer to, I reply. When I see a post that is blatantly wrong, I call the poster on it.

Ray

Thanks Roy and Ray for looking out for us.
It is very easy for a lot of people to prey on people who want to move to Canada to get a better life.
Unfortunately, in this day and age of technology, there are benefits of the internet as well as the challenges that technology brings.
People need to be informed - use the internet to research EVERYTHING and don´t be fooled by "consultants", be selective before you give anyone a penny. That´s my two cents.

I can vouch for Ray Masa as well , he posts good advice on another forum I frequent a lot more than this one !!

I don´t know why but this forum does attract more than its share of idiots as well as the more inormed posters like Sharon !!

Thanks Sharon and Anonymous.

Yes Sharon I am a bit impatient at times. I am working on that part of my personality flaw (but in my younger days I was much worse, so I am getting better).

Anonymous, you raise a good point with regards to some of the posters on this forum. I do regularly visit several forums and others not so regularly. And this is the only forum that attracts some of these posters. And I don’t know why that is. Seems quite strange to me.

Ray

This forum allows people who are __________ to try to establish a client base.

Ray you said it in your reply (Anonymous) I don´t why that is..... Ray one does not need to register their family tree to post here. This in one way is a good thing!

Sharon can inform you of a moderator of another forum who acts as if she is a know it all who messed up her own In Canada Spousal application because a little knowledge is dangerous. Especially when you sign your teenagers forms and put down they are a Full Time Student when they are not.

Kid had a conviction so she and her daughter were found inadmissible.

I on the other hand have become more aggressive over time in my reply´s then you Ray and I try real hard not to but it is difficult.

I wish I could be more subtle but time is money and NO one (who ever) should be able to mess up another persons life by being overly assertive when they are ignorant of the Act and Regulations.

I´m just happy that people like you hang out here, Ray.

Ray, I post on another forum , where I blatently use my own name (one you´ve joined recently!) . Here I wouldn´t because I get so annoyed , not by the people who have questions ( however obvious I think the answer is ). What really gets me is the seemingly unrelated - please send me xyz form , here is my email address replys or the I´m also going to ask exactly the same question as the person above me.

I don´t know how to describe it but here I see so much of what I call spamming questions where the person posts without any regard to the actual thread.

just my 2 cents worth

Any forum that assists people is a plus.

If all forums or people where exactly the same life would be real boring.

Ex Pats forum to name one a couple of years ago had people attacking everyone and was more then a little intimidating to post on. I could go on a negative tear and say this forum is not as good or bad because ABC but that accomplishes nothing, Anonymous.

That is not to say other forums previously lacking in any ones opinion are not great today. Like in life forums and people go through stages. People come and go and breath new life into the responses. Some times when certain people move on they are missed for their insight.

When this forum was improved by creating the "last 30" others said it could be done better or it is not good enough. Change is difficult thing to accept for many people.

That is just my Loonie worth (CA $) because the Canadian dollar is so low these days 2 cents Canadian Anonymous is worth absolutely nothing.

Lol at the two cents - so true!!!
Its true that forums go through cycles. I often stop reading or posting on different ones for months when they irritate me !!!
However some form of editing availability for moderators wouldn´t go amiss here to get rid of the my email address is xxxx please kindly send me xxxx posts or to start new threads for people who don´t quite understand how this forum works and post their own question on an unrelated thread.

Thanks Roy. I do agree, when people give bad advice that may mess up someone’s life (or even delay the application), it irritates me.

As you said Anonymous, some of these questions here also irritate and baffle me as well. I have seen posts where people keeping asking how many points they will get for a certain IELTS band. When in the same thread I had posted a link to CIC page to find that out themselves. Now why would someone applying for skilled worker visa not have enough skills to go to the CIC site (when an exact page link has been provided) to figure it out themselves?

Just the other day, someone posted their name, file number, date of birth etc. Why would anyone do that on a public forum?

Ah well.

I think part of my irritation is also the stress CHC is causing me by taking soooooo long to get my application done with.

Ray
