Subject: Question for Roy, Ray, or Sharon---H-1B |

Good day to you all,
my brother has been in the US for a number of years, first as a student and now on H-1B as a Assistant Director of student housing. When I checked the classification codes, it was unclear whether student affairs is considered as a category because he is not teaching at the university he works in.
1.Is it possible for him to try the Alberta H-1B program. He has been on H-1B for 2 years now.
2. How long does that process take
3. Does that application also require the proof of funds as the FSW?
I will appreciate your response.
Thanks

(in reply to: Question for Roy, Ray, or Sharon---H-1B) in Canada it is called a Provincial Nominee Program.
1. that would depend if he can find a job offer within the designated NOC codes.
2. not sure
3. no

(in reply to: Question for Roy, Ray, or Sharon---H-1B) I am assuming you have read the Alberta H1B requirements. If you havent, you may want to start there:
